A24 has announced a soundtrack album for the comedy Y2K. The album features a selection of the songs from the film by artists such as Fatboy Slim, Mandy Moore, Korn, ATB, Limp Bizkit & others, as well as bonus contributions from the cast, including Julian Dennison’s rendition of Sisqó’s Thong Song (check out the just released video clip below). The soundtrack CD will be released on January 17, 2025 and is now available to order exclusively from A24’s online store. Y2K is co-written and directed by Kyle Mooney and stars Rachel Zegler, Jaeden Martell, Julian Dennison, Lachlan Watson, Daniel Zolghadri, Mason Gooding and The Kid Laroi. The movie takes place on the final night of 1999 and follows two high school juniors as they crash a New Years Eve party, only to find themselves fighting for their lives. David Reynolds (Warlock III: The End of Innocence, The Attic Expeditions, Cruel Intentions 3, The Novice, Running Free, A Time to Revenge) has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2001 horror movie She Creature written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez and starring Rufus Sewell, Carla Gugino, Rya Kihlstedt, Jim Piddock and Reno Wilson. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Premiering on Wednesday, December 11, is Pixar’s Disney+ original series Dream Productions written and directed by Mike Jones and starring Paula Pell, Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki,Kensington Tallman, Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black. The show’s original music is composed by Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Thor: Love and Thunder, Star Trek: Prodigy, An American Pickle, One Fast Move, Absentia). Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on December 20. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1970 historical drama The Molly Maguires directed by Martin Ritt and starring Sean Connery, Richard Harris, Samantha Eggar and Frank Finlay. The CD features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Charade, The Thorn Birds, Santa Claus: The Movie), including around 20 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as revised and alternate versions. Also included is Charles Strouse’s unused score for the project, which has previously been released as part of an expanded score release by Kritzerland in 2012. Expanded ‘Darling Lili’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1970 “musical” romantic comedy Darling Lili co-written and directed by Blake Edwards and starring Julie Andrews, Rock Hudson, Jeremy Kemp, Lance Percival, Michael Witney and Jacques Marin. The album features the original songs from the film written by Academy Award winner Henry Mancini (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Pink Panther, The Thorn Birds, Santa Claus: The Movie, Charade, Lifeforce) and featuring lyrics by Johnny Mercer, as well as demos played by Mercer before filming that include two unused songs, as well as instrumental versions of the songs. Also included is the premiere release of Mancini’s complete original underscore from the movie. Mancini & Mercer received two Academy Award nominations (for the original song Whistling Away the Dark and the “song score”).
