The album features the film’s original score composed by Kristen Personius (Sistas, Cinderella’s Revenge, Zatima). Also included is the original song Love I Found written by Personius and performed by Allison Russell (previously released as a digital single). The track co-written (with Christopher A Stewart, Ben Parris, Liz Lokre & Ciara Harris) and performed by Tamar Braxton is now available to stream/download exclusively on Amazon Music. Sarah’s Oil is co-written and directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh and stars Zachary Levi, Naya Desir-Johnson, Sonequa Martin-Green, Mel Rodriguez, Garret Dillahunt, Kenric Green and Bridget Regan. The music was performed and re-recorded by a more than 80-piece orchestra on the historic scoring stage where it was initially recorded in 1939.The creative team for the project includes Academy Award-nominated composer David Newman (Anastasia, The Flintstones, War of the Roses, Serenity), Grammy Award-nominated music producer/sound designer Paul Freeman, Grammy Award-winning music supervisor Julianne Jordan and Academy Award-winning sound engineer Shawn Murphy.
