Jake Monaco has recently composed the music for the upcoming comedy sequel Kindergarten Cop 2. The film is directed by Don Michael Paul (Half Past Dead) and stars Dolph Lundgren as an FBI agent who goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher to find a missing flash drive from the Federal Witness Protection Program. David H. Steinberg (American Pie 2, Slackers) has written the screenplay. Nettwerk has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Ten Thousand Saints. The album features the film’s original music composed by Garth Stevenson (Tracks). Also included are two original songs written by Anna Waronker and Steven McDonald, as well as a cover of the Minor Threat’s Straight Edge. The soundtrack is now available to order on Amazon. Ten Thousand Saints is written and directed by Shari Springer Berman & Robert Pulcini and stars Ethan Hawke, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Emily Mortimer, Julianne Nicholson and Emile Hirsch. The movie tells several stories featuring people who find their life inspired or changed by one particular dachshund, who seems to be spreading comfort and joy. Adam Anders and Peer Astrom have been hired to work on the music for ABC’s upcoming movie musical Dirty Dancing. The film based on the 1987 hit movie starring Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey is directed by Wayne Blair (The Sapphires) and is set to star Abigail Breslin in the lead role as Baby whose world is opened when she falls for a dance instructor. Jessica Sharzer (American Horror Story, The L Word) is writing the script. ‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Soundtracks Announced

Lakeshore Records will release two soundtrack albums for the NBC and Gaumont Television series Hannibal. The albums feature selections of the original music from the show’s third and final season composed by Brian Reitzell (Lost in Translation, Friday Night Lights, Boss, Stranger Than Fiction). Also included are the original songs Love Crime from the Wrath of the Lamb feat. Siouxsie Sioux and Snake Charmer feat. Marc Almond. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for last year’s Chinese fantasy action adventure The Monkey King. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, The Shipping News, Entrapment, The Exorcism of Emily Rose). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Monkey King is directed by Pou-Soi Cheang (Dog Bite Dog) and stars Donnie Yen in the title role, alongside Aaron Kwok, Chow Yun-Fat, Peter Ho, Kelly Chen and Joe Chen.
