The concert will take place on Thursday, May 12 at 7:30pm at CSUN Valley Performing Arts Center in Northridge, CA. The event will be preceded by an audience Q&A at 6:30pm. The Studio Ensemble, a group dedicated to workshopping and performing commercial music arranged and performed by students, will be on the concert as well. The film is directed by David Lowery and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, Oona Laurence and Robert Redford. The movie is based on the 1977 classic of the same title and tells the story of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.. Lowery also co-wrote the screenplay with Toby Halbrooks. Jim Whitaker (The Odd Life of Timothy GreenThe Finest Hours) is producing the project.
