The film is directed by Martin Bourboulon (Eiffel, Daddy or Mommy) and stars Roschdy Zem, Lyna Khoudri, Sidse Babett Knudsen and Christophe Montenez. The movie is set against the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan of U.S. troops in August, 2021 as the Taliban march on Kabul and recounts the true story of French Commander Mohamed Bida and his elite police team who find themselves trapped alongside 500 civilians and devise a plan to evacuate the stranded masses and reach the airport. Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original documentary series American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden. Premiering on Thursday, March 13, is the British Netflix limited series Adolescence created by Jack Thorne & Stephen Graham and starring Gaham, Ashley Walters, Erin Doherty, Christine Tremarco, Owen Cooper, Faye Marsay and Amélie Pease. The show’s original music is composed by Aaron May & David Ridley (Boiling Point, Malpractice, Accused, Villain, Arsène Wenger: Invincible). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be announced soon. The 4-part crime drama, which revolves around a 13-year-old who is accused of the murder of a classmate, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Also premiering on Thursday is the horror comedy The Parenting directed by Craig Johnson and starring Nik Dodani, Brandon Flynn, Brian Cox, Edie Falco, Lisa Kudrow,Dean Norris, Vivian Bang and Parker Posey. Nathan Larson (Dirty Pretty Things, Boys Don’t Cry, Our Idiot Brother, Tigerland, Margin Call, Juliet, Naked) has composed the film’s original music.
