La-La Land Records has announced a soundtrack album for the 1988 Mission: Impossible revival series created by Bruce Geller and starring Peter Graves, Thaao Penghlis, Tony Hamilton, Phil Morris, Terry Markwell, Jane Badler and Bob Johnson. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Lalo Schifrin (Dirty Harry, Rush Hour, Enter the Dragon) who wrote the classic Mission: Impossible theme and Ron Jones (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Family Guy). The 2-CD set is limited to 1988 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples.

Dustin O’Halloran and Hauschka (aka Volker Bertelmann) have signed on to score the upcoming comedy drama The Art of Racing in the Rain. The film is directed by Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn, Goodbye Christopher Robin) and stars Milo Ventimiglia, Amanda Seyfried, Gary Cole, Kathy Baker and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. The movie is based on Garth Stein’s best-selling novel of the same title and centers on a family dog (voiced by Kevin Costner) who evaluates his life through the lessons learned by his human owner, a professional race-car driver. Leeway has released a soundtrack album for the South Korean crime thriller Believer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dalpalan (The Wailing, Claire’s Camera, A Bittersweet Life).
