Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action thriller The Predator directed by Shane Black and starring Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown and Yvonne Strahovski. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack EP featuring three tracks from the composer’s score today and will release a full soundtrack album later this month. Click here for more information.

Also opening wide is the thriller A Simple Favor directed by Paul Feig and starring Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Linda Cardellini, Jean Smart and Rupert Friend. Theodore Shapiro (The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me, Tropic Thunder, Ghostbusters, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) has composed the film’s original score. ‘Museo’ Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Mexican heist thriller Museo (Museum). The album features the film’s original music composed by Tomas Barreiro (Güeros, Perros). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Museo is co-written and directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios and stars Gael García Bernal, Leonardo Ortizgris, Alfredo Castro, Lisa Owen, Bernardo Velasco, Ilse Salas, Leticia Bredice and Simon Russell Beale. Soundtrack Album for Laura Nix’s ‘Inventing Tomorrow’ to Be Released

The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 28, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Inventing Tomorrow is directed by Laura Nix and follows a group of passionate teenage innovators from around the globe who are creating cutting-edge solutions to confront the world’s environmental threats as they prepare their projects for the largest convening of high school scientists in the world, the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). ‘The House with a Clock in Its Walls’ Soundtrack Details

Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the gothic fantasy movie The House with a Clock in Its Walls. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, Hostel, Cabin Fever, Hemlock Grove, The Son) who used the historic Wurlitzer pipe organ in his score, which he recorded at his new recording studio. The composer spent five years restoring the Hollywood Golden Age instrument (originally built in 1928 for Fox Studios, and used in iconic films including The Sound of Music and Journey to the Center of the Earth), which is making its first appearance in a film in 25 years. ‘The Predator’ Soundtrack EP Released

Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack EP for Shane Black’s The Predator. The EP features three tracks from the film’s original score composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Big Hero 6, Wreck-It-Ralph). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. A full soundtrack album featuring Jackman’s music for the movie is set to be released on September 28. Dolly Parton’s & Sia’s ‘Here I Am’ from ‘Dumplin” Released

Dolly Records has released the first song from the soundtrack of the upcoming comedy Dumplin’. The track, entitled Here I Am, is performed by Dolly Parton and Sia and is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Parton originally wrote the track for her Coat of Many Colors album, which was released in October of 1971. Listen to the full track after the jump. A full soundtrack album featuring six original songs written by Parton & Linda Perry, as well as more newly recorded songs of Parton classics will be released on November 30. ‘Clash of Futures’ Soundtrack Released

MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the mini-series Clash of Futures. The album features the show’s original music composed and conducted by Laurent Eyquem (Copperhead, Nostalgia, Winnie Mandela, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage). Clash of Futures is written and directed by Jan Peter & Frédéric Goupil and explores the dramatic era of the 1920s and ’30s. The 8-part series follows the fates of extraordinary men, women and children from France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Austria, Sweden, Poland and the Soviet Union using their own diary entries, letters and memoirs. Soundtrack Album for Sky’s ‘A Discovery of Witches’ to Be Released

Dubois Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Sky original series A Discovery of Witches. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Rob Lane (John Adams, Merlin, Atlantis, The Damned United, Beowulf) and performed by The Chamber Orchestra of London. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 14 and is now available to download on Amazon. A Discovery of Witches is based on Deborah Harkness’ historical fantasy novel of the same title and stars Teresa Palmer, Matthew Goode, Alex Kingston, Valarie Pettiford, Lindsay Duncan and Tanya Moodie. The drama follows a young scholar at Oxford and a descendant of the Salem witches, who accidentally unlocks an enchanted manuscript and enters a forbidden romance with a charming 1,500-year-old vampire. ‘Duck Duck Goose’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Duck Duck Goose. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award and Emmy Award nominee Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant, Miracle). Also included are the original songs Thunder to the Ground performed by Donna Missal, Paradise performed by Dave Bassett who also co-wrote the track with Isham & Steve Lindsey, as well as Take Off performed by Windy Wagner and co-written by Isham & Caroline Polachek. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 28, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for Reed Morano’s sci-fi drama I Think We’re Alone Now. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale, Before I Fall, Damnation) who previously scored the director’s first feature Meadowland. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 14 and will be available to download on Amazon. A CD version is also in the works.
