Walt Disney Records has announced that Ariana Grande and John Legend are set to perform a new version of the song Beauty and the Beast from Disney’s live-action film adaptation of the same title. The ballad written by Alan Menken and featuring lyrics by Howard Ashman was originally performed by Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson and received an Academy Award and a Grammy Award among other prizes. The new rendition of the classic song is produced Ron Fair and will be included on the official soundtrack album, which also features other new recordings of the original songs from the animated feature,as well as three new songs written by Menken and Tim Rice. The show is created by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect) and stars Britt Robertson, Johnny Simmons, Ellie Reed, Dean Norris and Alphonso McAuley. The comedy is inspired by Sophia Amoruso’s autobiography of the same title and follows a rebellious, broke anarchist who stumbles upon her passion of selling vintage clothes online and becomes an unlikely businesswoman. The details of the soundtrack album for the sequel Fifty Shades Darker have been revealed. The album features the songs from the movie, including the track I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker) by ZAYN & Taylor Swift, which is already available as a single, as well as songs by Halsey, Tove Lo, Sia, Kygo, The-Dream, John Legend, Nicki Minaj and Nick Jonas. Also included are two tracks form the movie’s original score composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland). Marcelo Zarvos has signed on to score the upcoming drama Wonder. The film is directed by Steven Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and stars Jacob Tremblay, Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Noah Jupe, Bryce Gheisar, Izabela Vidovic, Danielle Rose Russell, Millie Davis, Elle McKinnon, Daveed Diggs and Mandy Patinkin. The movie is based on the book of the same title by R.J. Palacio and centers on a young boy born with a facial deformity who is destined to fit in at a new school, and to make everyone understand he’s just another ordinary kid. ‘Singles’ – Deluxe Edition Soundtrack to Be Released

Sony Music will release a new soundtrack album for 1992 romantic comedy Singles written and directed by Cameron Crowe and starring Bridget Fonda, Campbell Scott, Kyra Sedgwick, Sheila Kelley, Jim True, Bill Pullman and Matt Dillon. The album features the songs from the film by Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, Alice in Chains, Citizen Dick, The Smashing Pumpkins, Mike McCready, Jimi Hendrix, Soundgarden & more. Also included are tracks from the movie’s score by Cornell and Paul Westerberg. The 2-CD set features the content of the original soundtrack album on the first disc and 18 new tracks on the second disc. For the past couple of years, scoring mixers have been recognized alongside production, re-recording, ADR and foley mixers.
