Walt Disney Records has the first track from the soundtrack for the fifth season of the Disney Channel original animated series Phineas and Ferb. Available to stream/download on all major digital music services is Summer Is Starting Right Now written by the show’s creators Jeff “Swampy” Marsh & Dan Povenmire, as well as Jon Colton Barry, Kim Roberson, Martin Olson, Oscar Lemus & Sunny Karnan and performed by voice cast members Vincent Martella, Ashley Tisdale, Alyson Stoner, Maulik Pancholy & Bobby Gaylor. Villa Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the Norwegian drama Safe House (Før mørket). The album features the film’s original score composed by Lisa Nordström (Children of the Enemy, The Good Driver). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 23 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services. Safe House is directed by Eirik Svensson and stars Kristine Kujath Torp, Bibi Tanga, Alexander Karim, Tracy Gotoas and Alma Pöysti. The movie is based on the true events that unfolded during 15 tense hours at a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Bangui on Christmas Eve, 2013 and revolves around Norwegian field worker who was stationed at the hospital when civil war erupted. Cameron Moody has made his narrative television scoring debut on the upcoming Hulu limited series Washington Black. The show is developed by Selwyn Seyfu Hinds based on Esi Edugyan’s novel of the same name and stars Ernest Kingsley Jr., Sterling K. Brown, Rupert Graves, Edward Bluemel, Iola Evans, Sharon Duncan Brewster, Eddie Karanja and Tom Ellis. The 9-part drama follow the 19th-century odyssey of George Washington “Wash” Black, an eleven-year-old boy born on a Barbados sugar plantation, whose prodigious scientific mind sets him on a path of unexpected destiny. The composer has also teamed up with James Everingham (Apollo: Missions to the MoonThe Real Right Stuff) (for Bleeding Fingers Music) to score the show created by Jason Momoa & Thomas Pa‘a Sibbett (Braven, he Last Manhunt) and starring Momoa himself, Luciane Buchanan, Temuera Morrison, Cliff Curtis, Kaina Makua, Te Ao o Hinepehinga, Moses Goods, Brandon Finn, Siua Ikale‘o, James Udom, Mainei Kinimaka, Te Kohe Tuhaka and Benjamin Hoetjes.
