Tamar-kali (Mudbound, Come Sunday) has composed the original music for the upcoming documentary John Lewis: Good Trouble. The film is directed by Dawn Porter (Trapped, Gideon’s Army) and focuses on the life and career of Rep. John Lewis. The movie chronicles Lewis’ 60-plus years of social activism and legislative action on civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health-care reform and immigration. Porter is also producing the CNN Films, AGC Studios and TIME Studios production with Laura Michalchyshyn (Trailer Park Boys) for Trilogy Films, alongside Erika Alexander & Ben Arnon for Color Farm Media. Long Distance has released a soundtrack album for the French documentary Wolf Walk (Marche avec les loups). The album features the film’s original music composed by Armand Amar (The Concert, The Source, Mia and the White Lion, A Bag of Marbles, Belle & Sebastian, 1,000 Times Good Night). Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the adventure drama The Call of the Wild directed by Chris Sanders and starring Harrison Ford, Dan Stevens, Omar Sy, Karen Gillan, Bradley Whitford and Colin Woodel. The film’s original music is composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Shrek, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet). Hollywood Records/Fox Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror movie Brahms: The Boy II directed by William Brent Bell and starring Katie Holmes, Owain Yeoman, Christopher Convery and Ralph Ineson. Antonio Sanchez has signed on to score the upcoming drama Harami: The Bastard. The film is co-written directed by Shyam Madiraju (Eden) and stars Emraan Hashmi Emraan Hashmi and Subrat Dutta. The movie revolves around an orphan teenage pickpocket working the trains of Mumbai along with his gang whose life takes a turn when he meets the daughter of one of his victims who committed suicide after being robbed. Mohit Rastogi, Parvesh Kumar and Dori Zuckerman are producing the Gobsmack Entertainment production.The project marks the jazz drummer/composer’s second narrative feature scoring assignment following Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), for which he received a Golden Globe Awards nomination and a Grammy Award. First Track from ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ – The Final Season Soundtrack Released

Walt Disney Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for the seventh and final season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Now available as a digital single is the Bad Batch Theme written by the show’s composer Kevin Kiner (Star Wars Rebels, Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels).
