Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy The Big Hit (Un triomphe). The album features the film’s original music composed by Fred Avril (The Lifeguard, I Am Not an Easy Man, Pearl, Sound of Noise). Also included Nina Simone’s song I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The Big Hit is directed by Emmanuel Courcol and stars Kad Merad, David Ayala, Lamine Cissokho, Pierre Lottin, Wabinlé Nabié, Sofian Khammes, Alexandre Medvedev, Saïd Benchnafa, Marina Hands and Laurent Stocker. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack EP for the Netflix original series Bridgerton featuring the classical cover versions of songs including Ariana Grande’s thank u, next, Maroon 5’s Girls Like You, Shawn Mendes’ In My Blood & Billie Eilish’s bad guy performed by the Vitamin String Quartet, as well as Celeste’s Strange by the show’s composer Kris Bowers feat. Hillary Smith and Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams by Duomo. The 6-track EP will be released digitally on December 25 and is now available for pre-order here.
