Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Iron Man, Clash of the Titans, Pacific Rim, A Wrinkle in Time) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama The Ravine. The film is written and directed by Keoni Waxman (Hunt to Kill, The Keeper) and stars Eric Dane, Teri Polo, Peter Facinelli, Bryon Mann and Leslie Uggams. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Robert Pascuzzi and follows group of friends who are blindsided by news that someone they trusted has committed a terrible crime and in their quest for answers, they fall on hard times but ultimately must turn toward faith. Composer Alfonso de Vilallonga (Transsiberian, The BookshopIt Snows in Benidorm) is reuniting with director Pablo Berger on the upcoming animated feature Robot Dreams. The movie, which is based on the 2007 graphic novel of the same title by Sara Varon, is set in an imaginary 1980s New York populated by animals with no definable age or gender and tells the story of the friendship between Dog and Robot who become separated during an ill-fated day-trip to Long Island. THR is reporting that Michael Penn (Girls, Boogie Nights, Masters of Sex, Sunshine Cleaning, The Last Kiss) is set to compose and perform original music for a sequel to last year’s Disney+ original movie Stargirl. He will also serve as the executive music producer on the film, which will be directed by Julia Hart (I’m Your Woman, Fast Color) and star Grace VanderWaal and Elijah Richardson. VanderWaal is also contributing new songs to the YA drama, which follows Stargirl’s journey out of Mica and into a bigger world of music, dreams and possibility.
