Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced the first-ever vinyl release of the score for the 1999 supernatural horror movie The Haunting directed by Jan de Bont and starring Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Owen Wilson and Lili Taylor. The 2-LP deluxe edition features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien, Patton, Basic Instinct) and will be available on a pressed on a Black/Gold/Grey Marble vinyl in North America and n Translucent Green vinyl, with brand-new artwork. Both editions are packaged in a gatefold jacket, featuring brand-new cover illustrations from artist Sina Grace, liner notes and stills from the film. The soundtrack will be released on October 4 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

‘Mind Game’ 20th Anniversary Soundtrack Album Released
Beyond C has released a new soundtrack album for the 2004 Japanese experimental animated feature Mind Game written and directed by Masaaki Yuasa and based on the manga of the same title created by Robin Nishi. The album features the film’s original music composed by Seiichi Yamamoto (Ichi the Killer, Adrenaline Drive) and the Mysterious Robot. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download internationally for the first time on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the title track below. A CD version is being released in Japan today by Rambling Records and will be available to order in the U.S. as an import here within the next couple of days.
‘Slingshot’ Soundtrack Album Details
MovieScore Media will release the official soundtrack album for the sci-fi psychological thriller Slingshot. The album features the film’s original score composed by Steffen Thum (Crawl, iBoy, Stockholm Bloodbath, Warning Shot) and produced by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning & Fallout, His Dark Materials, Black Widow, Bad Boys for Life, Black Adam, Top Gun: Maverick). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 30 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services) and will also be available on the label’s “CD on Demand” format. A first track (All the Right Questions) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. Slingshot is directed by Mikael Håfström and stars Casey Affleck, Laurence Fishburne and Emily Beecham. The movie follows an elite trio of astronauts aboard a years-long, possibly compromised mission to Saturn’s moon Titan as they gear up for a highly dangerous slingshot maneuver that will either catapult them to Titan or into deep space.
Motion City Soundtrack’s End Credits Song ‘Stop Talking’ from Sean Wang’s ‘Dìdi’ Released
Many Hats Distribution has released the end credits song Stop Talking from the coming-of-age comedy drama Dìdi. The track (produced by Sean O’Keefe) is written and performed by Motion City Soundtrack (and marks the band’s first new release in ten years) and is now available to stream/download on all major digital services, including Amazon. Warner Records has released digital EP featuring three versions of Madonna‘s Like a Prayer from Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine. The 3-track EP features the original version of the track (written by Madonna & Patrick Leonard) from the singer’s 1989 album of the same name, the new Battle Royale Mix produced by Madonna & Leonard and the film’s composer Rob Simonsen, as well as the choir version from movie’s climactic scene. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ash Gibson Greig who previously scored the original 2020 100% Wolf movie, as well as the project’s original songs written by Matt Druery.
