Netflix has announced that Ryuichi Sakamoto (The Last Emperor, The Revenant, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, Little Buddha, Snake Eyes) is contributing the original music to the streamer’s upcoming sci-fi horror anime series exception. The show is based on a story by Hirotaka Adachi and features the voices of Nolan North, Robbie Daymond, Ali Hillis, Eugene Byrd and Nadine Nicole in the English language version and Chikahiro Kobayashi, Takahiro Sakurai, Yuko Kaida, Takanori Hoshino and Atsumi Tanezaki in the Japanese version. The series is set in the far future, after humanity has been driven from Earth and forced to move its population to another galaxy and follows a group of members of a scouting team who are sent to search for a planet suitable for terraforming. Yuzo Sato (Hunter X Hunter: Phantom Rouge) is directing the Tatsunoko and Studio 5 production. exception will premiere on October 13, 2022 on Netflix.
