Another wide release this week is the horror thriller The Prodigy directed by Nicholas McCarthy and starring Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scott, Peter Mooney and Colm Feore. Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Insidious, Annabelle) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Opening in select U.S. theaters following an awards-qualifying release in December is the drama Everybody Knows (Todos lo saben) written and directed by Asghar Farhadi and starring Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Ricardo Darín. The film’s original music is composed by music producer and singer/songwriter Javier Limón. A soundtrack EP featuring Limón’s music was released last year when the movie opened overseas. Also opening in limited release is the thriller The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot written and directed by Robert D. Another limited release this week is the romantic comedy Under the Eiffel Tower co-written and directed by Archie Borders and starring Matt Walsh, Godrèche, Reid Scott, David Wain, Michaela Watkins, Dylan Gelula, Gary Cole and Ary Abittan. Opening in select theaters while also premiering on Netflix today is the drama High Flying Bird directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring André Holland, Zazie Beetz, Melvin Gregg, Sonja Sohn, Zachary Quinto, Kyle MacLachlan and Bill Duke. The film’s credited composer is David Wilder Savage (Unsane). No word on a soundtrack release. The movie premiered last month at the Slamdance Film Festival and is now available to stream on Netflix.
