Missing from last week’s TV music roundup was the Black Mirror special interactive episode Bandersnatch directed by David Slade, written by Charlie Brooker and starring Fionn Whitehead, Will Poulter and Asim Chaudhry. The episode’s original music is composed by Brian Reitzell (Hannibal, American Godz, Friday Night Lights, 30 Days of Night, Stranger Than Fiction, Boss). Also missing from last week’s roundup was the new Into the Dark episode New Year, New You co-written and directed by Sophia Takal and starring Suki Waterhouse, Carly Chaikin, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Melissa Bergland. Michael Montes (Ping Pong Summer, Don’t Leave Home) who has previously scored Takal’s last feature Always Shine has composed the original music for the episode. The fourth episode of the Blumhouse Television production, which follows a group of old high school friends who reunite in a house for New Year’s Eve, where they’re forced to confront traumas from their past, premiered on December 28 and is now available to stream on Hulu.
