Premiering tonight is the HBO original series Lanterns created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof & Tom King based on the DC comic characters from Green Lantern and starring Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Kelly Macdonald, Laura Linney, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Nathan Fillion, Jason Ritter, Ulrich Thomsen, J. Alphonse Nicholson and Jasmine Cephas Jones. The show’s original music is composed by Stephanie Economou (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken, Jupiter’s Legacy, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, About My Father, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, The Chair). Premiering on Wednesday, August 19, is the National Geographic event documentary series Lion narrated by O.J. Lynch and executive produced by Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton. Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Dune, The Lion King, Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean, Rain Man, Man of Steel), Niccolò Pacella & George Hutson Warren have composed the show’s original score and Zimmer, Lebo M (The Lion King) & Andrew Christie (Prehistorical Planet, The Americas) have provided the theme. Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music on Friday, August 21.
