Ali Shaheed Muhammad & Adrian Younge (Luke Cage, Cross, Reasonable DoubtSugarBoogieRun This TownPower Book III: Raising Kanan) have composed the original score for the new thriller Strung. The film is directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip, pace Jam: A New Legacy) and stars Chloe Bailey, Lynn Whitfield, Anna Diop, Lucien Laviscount and Coco Jones. The movie revolves around a talented violinist who takes a prestigious job as a music tutor for the gifted daughter of an influential and enigmatic family, when unsettling secrets begin to surface, forcing her to question her safety, her dreams, and even her sanity. Alan McElroy (Wrong Turn, Spawn) wrote the screenplay. Lee is also producing the Peachtree & Vine & Blumhouse production with Tyler Perry (The Six Triple Eight, For Colored Girls), Jason Blum (Get Out, Halloween), Tim Palen (Blindspotting) and Dominique Telson (The Best of Enemies, Boxing Day). Strung will premiere next Friday, June 26 exclusively on Peacock.

Muhammad & Younge’s other recent projects include Apple TV’s Sugar, which just returned for its second season today. They are also expected to return to score the third season of Prime Video’s Cross.
