Trevor Jones will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 26th World Soundtrack Awards Ceremony & Concert, the closing event of Film Fest Gent’s WSA Film Music Days 2026. During the concert, a selection of the composer’s work will be performed by the Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé. Jones has composed scores for over 100 films and television projects, including John Boorman’s Excalibur (1981), Frank Oz’s The Dark Crystal (1982), Jim Henson’s Labyrinth (1986), Alan Parker’s Mississippi Burning (1988), Frank Marshall’s Arachnophobia (1990), Michael Mann’s The Last of the Mohicans (1992), Renny Harlin’s Cliffhanger (1993), Jim Sheridan’s In the Name of the Father (1993), Ridley Scott’s G.I. Jane (1997), Alex Proyas’ Dark City (1998), Roger Michell’s Notting Hill (1999), Roger Donaldson’s Thirteen Days (2000) and Stephen Norrington’s The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003). Throughout his career, he has received three BAFTA Award nominations (for Mississippi Burning, The Last of the Mohicans & Brassed Off), two Golden Globe nominations and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries or Movie (for Hallmark Entertainment’s Merlin).
