La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1985 action adventure King Solomon’s Mines directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Richard Chamberlain, Sharon Stone, Herbert Lom and John Rhys-Davies. The album features the newly remastered original score from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Gremlins, Patton, Basic Instinct, The Mummy, L.A. Confidential, Chinatown). The 40th Anniversary Remastered Edition is being released as a 2-CD set (limited to 1,000 copies) and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Prometheus Records and Quartet Records have previously released two expanded soundtracks back in 2006 and 2014. King Solomon’s Mines is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
The label’s other new releases include a 2-CD version of soundtrack for the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday featuring score by Chris Bacon and the songs from the series (previously released digitally). Click here to order the album.
