Mark Ronson has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original film Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew. The movie is written and directed by Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird, Little Women) and stars Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, David McKenna and Beatrice Campbell. The fantasy adventure is based on the sixth published (and first chronological novel) in C.S. Lewis’ book series The Chronicles of Narnia, which follows Digory and Polly as their accidental use of magical rings transports them to the creation of Narnia. Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan, Speed), Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Into/Across the SpiderVerse) and Vincent Sieber (The Hive) are producing the project. Ronson has previously co-scored Gerwig’s last feature, Barbie, and also co-wrote most of the movie’s original songs. The record producer/songwriter also co-scored David Koepp’s 2015 feature Mortdecai. Ronson has revealed his involvement in the project in a recent interview with Today and Variety appears to have confirmed his assignment as the score composer. Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew is set to be released in IMAX theaters on November 26, 2026 before making its streaming debut on December 25, 2026 on Netflix.
