Composer Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Alien: Romulus, Twisters, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures, The Flash) is set to reteam with director David F. Sandberg on the upcoming film adaptation of the video game Until Dawn. The movie starring Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Cameli, Maia Mitchell, Odessa A’zion & Peter Stormare is based on PlayStation 2015 horror game (published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and scored by Jason Graves), which centers on eight young adults who are trapped together on a remote mountain retreat, where they discover that they are not alone. Gary Dauberman (Annabelle Comes Home, Salem’s Lot) wrote the screenplay based on an earlier draft by Blair Butler (The Invitation, Hell Fest). Sandberg & Dauberman are also producing the project with Mia Maniscalco, Lotta Losten, Roy Lee (The Lego Movie, Barbarian), Asad Qizilbash (The Last of Us, Gran Turismo) and Carter Swan. Wallfisch has previously collaborated with Sandberg on the features Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation and the first Shazam! movie. Until Dawn is currently scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on April 25, 2025 by Sony Pictures/Screen Gems.
