Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated film That Christmas. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee John Powell (How to Train Your DragonThe Bourne Identity, Shrek,  Solo: A Star Wars Story, United 93Happy Feet, RioBoltDon’t Worry Darling). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 4 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. That Christmas is directed by Simon Otto and features the voices of Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker, Alex Macqueen, Lolly Adefope, Katherine Parkinson, Sindhu Vee, India Brown, Bill Nighy and Rhys Darby. The Locksmith Animation production based on the trilogy of children’s books by Richard Curtis (who also co-wrote the screenplay) follows a group of townsfolk of Wellington-on-Sea as they experience the worst snowstorm in history that alters everyone’s Christmas plans,  including Santa’s. The movie, which premiered at this year’s BFI London Film Festival, will be released in select theaters on November 27 before making its streaming debut on December 4 on Netflix.
