Premiering on Thursday, October 19, is the animated special Peter and the Wolf directed by Elliot Dear and Stephen McNally. The Blink Industries’ music is arranged by Maurice Seezer & Gavin Friday (based on Sergei Prokofiev’s symphony) and performed by The Friday-Seezer Ensemble. BMG will release a soundtrack album featuring the animated short’s music this coming Friday. Also premiering on Thursday is the Max original animated series Scavengers Reign created by Joseph Bennett & Charles Huettner and starring Wunmi Mosaku, Bob Stephenson, Ted Travelstead, Sunita Mani and Alia Shawkat. Nicolas Snyder has composed the show’s original music. The animated sci-fi adventure, which follows the remaining crew of a damaged interstellar freighter ship who find themselves stranded on an alien planet, will be available to stream on Max.
Also premiering on Thursday is the Netflix original series Neon created by Shea Serrano & Max Searle and starring Tyler Dean Flores, Emma Ferreira, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Jordan Mendoza, Jordana Brewster, Genesis Rodriguez, Courtney Taylor, Jhayco and Santiago Cabrera. Another show premiering on Thursday is the British Netflix limited series Bodies created by Paul Tomalin and starring Shira Haas, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Amaka Okafor, Kyle Soller, Stephen Graham, Greta Scacchi and Tom Mothersdale. Jon Opstad (Black Mirror, We Hunt Together, The Woman in White, The Feed, Safe House) has composed the show’s original music. Premiering on Friday, October 20, is the sci-fi romantic comedy If You Were the Last directed by Kristian Mercado and starring Anthony Mackie, Zoë Chao, Geoff Stults and Natalie Morales. The film’s original music is composed by Grizzly Bear’s Christopher Bear (Past Lives, High Maintenance, Mother Couch, The Passenger, Swallowed).
