Intrada Records has released a new soundtrack album for the 1985 sci-fi adventure Explorers directed by Joe Dante and starring Ethan Hawke, River Phoenix and Jason Presson. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Gremlins, Patton, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Basic Instinct, The Mummy, L.A. Confidential), as well as numerous alternate cues. The 2-CD set is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and find out more about the release. The label has previously released an expanded soundtrack for the movie back in 2011, while Varese Sarabande & MCA Records have released the original soundtrack album. Explorers is now available on VOD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
