Jeff Morrow (Snow White, A Christmas Story Christmas, The Snoopy Show, Science FairOlaf’s Frozen Adventure) is composing the original music for the upcoming comedy Poetic License. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actress Maude Apatow and stars Leslie Mann, Cooper Hoffman, Andrew Barth Feldman, Nico Parker, Maisy Stella, Martha Kelly, Will Price and Cliff ‘Method Man’ Smith. The movie explores the unlikely friendship between two college seniors and a mature woman auditing their poetry course. Raffi Donatich wrote the screenplay. Apatow is also producing the project with her father Judd Apatow (The 40-Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up), as well as Josh Church (Bros), Benjamin Hung, Thalia Daniel, Olivia Rosenbloom and Will Greenfield (Euphoria, The Rivals of Amziah King). Morrow has previously scored the Judd Apatow-directed documentaries George Carlin’s American Dream & Bob and Don: A Love Story and also composed the music for the Peacock documentary Stormy executive produced by Apatow. Poetic License will premiere this September at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.

Morrow’s other recent projects include Apple TV+’s special Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical, which will premiere this Friday.
