The full details of the soundtrack album for the NBC nature documentary series The Americas have been revealed. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Inception), Anže Rozman (Prehistoric Planet, Beckham, UniverseThe Planets) & Kara Talve (The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Prehistoric Planet, Faraway DownsThe Simpsons. Also included is the main theme written by Zimmer & Andrew James Christie (previously released released as a digital single), as well as Brandi Carlile’s original song Wandering (also already out now). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 21 by Back Lot Music (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). The Americas is executive produced by Mike Gunton, narrated by Tom Hanks and explores the worlds and wildlife of North and South America. The 10-part event series produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit & Universal Television currently airs in the U.S. every Sunday on NBC (and premieres on Peacock the following day) and in the UK every Sunday on BBC One.
