Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British TV series The Marlow Murder Club created by Robert Thorogood based on his own novel and starring Samantha Bond, Jo Martin, Cara Horgan, Natalie Dew, Phillipa Pea and Mark Frost. The show’s original music is composed by Cora Miron. The drama, which follows a retired archaeologist who tries to solve the crime when murder strikes the quiet riverside town of Marlow and begins to uncover a series of puzzling clues and comes to rely on the help of other local women to investigate, premiered earlier this year in the UK on U & Drama and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.
Premiering on Wednesday, October 30, is the Netflix original film Time Cut directed by Hannah Macpherson and starring Madison Bailey, Antonia Gentry, Griffin Gluck, Michael Shanks, Rachael Crawford, Samuel Braun, Megan Best, Jordan Pettle, Kataem O’Connor and Sydney Sabiston. Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, Werewolves Within, Sting) has composed the film’s original music. Premiering on Thursday, October 31, is the second season of the Netflix original series The Diplomat created by Debora Cahn and starring Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, Nana Mensah, Michael McKean, Ato Essandoh, Celia Imrie and Miguel Sandoval. The new season’s original music is composed by Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, The Equalizer 3, Enough Said, May December, The Affair, The Good Shepherd, Emancipation, Ray Donovan). Premiering on Friday, November 1, is the Netflix original animated series Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase based on the Mattel characters and featuring the voices of Abby Trott, Diamond White, Josh Banday, Griffin Burns, Anjali Kunapaneni, Sohm Kapila and Cristina Milizia. Joy Ngiaw (WondLa, Blush, Glamorous, Rescued by Ruby) has composed the show’s original score. Mattel & Arts Music have released two songs from the series: Glittering (feat. Jordin Sparks) and We Ride Together (feat. Madison Reyes). The Mattel Television Studios production will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Also premiering on Friday is the National Geographic original documentary Endurance directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy Chin & Natalie Hewit about the ship that sank near Antarctica in 1915. The film’s original music is composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Enola Holmes, Steve Jobs, Ocean’s 8, The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.).
