L’R Du Tresor has released a soundtrack album for the French romantic drama Beating Hearts (L’amour ouf). The album features the film’s original music composed by Jon Brion (MagnoliaEternal Sunshine of the Spotless MindPunch-Drunk Love, Lady Bird, ParanormalThe Other Guys). Beating Hearts is co-written and directed by Gilles Lellouche and stars François Civil, Mallory Wanecque, Alain Chabat, Malik Frikah, Benoît Poelvoorde, Jean-Pascal Zadi, Vincent Lacoste, Karim Leklou, Élodie Bouchez, Raphaël Quenard and Anthony Bajo. The movie is loosely based on the 1997 novel Jackie Loves Johnser OK? by Neville Thompson and follows two former childhood sweethearts from different sides of the track who reconnect two decades after one of them was sent to prison. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in French theaters this Wednesday, October 16.
