Safy Boutella (Little Senegal, Room to Rent, Dust of Life, The Kid from Chaaba, Cheb) has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2000 Italian/French/Spanish drama Mirka written and directed by Rachid Benhadj and starring Vanessa Redgrave, Gérard Depardieu, Sergio Rubini and Franco Nero. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to Boutella’s opening and end titles tracks after the jump. Mirka chronicles the isolated lives of people on a farm at the top of the mountains who are changed by the titular ten-year-old child. The drama was released in theaters overseas in 2000 and is now available in the U.S. on VOD.
