T Bone Burnett (True Detective, Crazy Heart, Inside Llewyn Davis, Walk the Line) and Patrick Warren (The Chi, Alice) are scoring the new FX original series The Old Man. The show is developed by Jonathan E. Steinberg (See, Human Target) & Robert Levine (Black Sails) based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry and stars Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow, Amy Brenneman, Alia Shawkat, E.J. Bonilla and Gbenga Akinnagbe. The drama follows the title character who absconded from the CIA decades ago and has been living off the grid, when an assassin arrives and tries to take him out. Steinberg, Levine & Bridges are also executive producing the 20th Television production with Warren Littlefield (Fargo, The Handmaid’s Tale), Dan Shotz (See), David Schiff (The Good Lord Bird), as well as Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Homecoming/Far from Home/No Way Home) who also directed the first two episodes. The Old Man will premiere this Thursday, June 16 on FX and will be available to stream on Hulu the next day.

    Seems the teens, of June are historic. The score in “the old man “is one to search for. J. Bridges delivers gifts like Santa. The last couple of minutes presents the sounds for the ages. Definitely a must see for 2022.

      The song at the end of episode five is “I’LL BE YOUR GHOST” written by the show’s composers: T Bone Burnett and Patrick Warren.
