La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1981 comedy Stripes directed by Ivan Reitman and starring Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Warren Oates, P. J. Soles, Sean Young and John Candy. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the Columbia Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Elmer Bernstein (The Magnificent Seven, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ghostbusters, Airplane, Animal House, Far from Heaven), including around 10 minutes of previously unreleased music. The CD, which is limited to 2,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. Stripes recently received a 40th anniversary release in theaters through Fathom Events and is also available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
