Will Bates (Unbelievable, The MagiciansThe Path, I Origins, Away, The Looming TowerAnother Earth) has been tapped to score the new Peacock original series Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol. The show is developed by Dan Dworkin & Jay Beattie based on Dan Brown’s best-selling novel of the same title and stars Ashley Zukerman, Valorie Curry, Sumalee Montano, Rick Gonzalez, Eddie Izzard and Beau Knapp. The drama follows the early adventures of young Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy. Dworkin & Beattie (Matador, The Crossing) are also executive producing the CBS Studios, Imagine Television Studios and Universal Television production with Brown, Brian Grazer & Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13), Samie Kim Falvey (68 Whiskey), Anna Culp and John Weber & Frank Siracusa (Star Trek: Discovery, Locke & Key). Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) executive produced and directed the pilot episode. The Lost Symbol will premiere this Thursday, September 16 on Peacock.

Bates’ recent projects include the Amazon original movie The Voyeurs, which just premiered last Friday, as well as Peter Berg’s untitled Rihanna documentary, which is expected to premiere later this year.
