La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1980 drama Caboblanco directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Charles Bronson, Dominique Sanda, Jason Robards and Fernando Rey. The album features the remastered original score from the film composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Poltergeist, L.A. Confidential, Planet of the Apes, Patton), as well as previously unreleased additional Goldsmith-recorded period music and classical standards. The CD, which is limited to 2,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and to check out audio samples.

The label has also announced a 40th Anniversary soundtrack release for the 1981 fantasy classic Dragonslayer directed by Matthew Robbins and starring Peter MacNicol, Ralph Richardson, John Hallam and Caitlin Clarke featuring the film’s Academy Award-nominated music composed by Alex North (Spartacus, A Streetcar Named Desire). The reissue of La-Land Records’ 2010 expanded soundtrack release is limited to 2,000 copies and is now also available in the label’s online store.
