Cypress Hill member/percussionist Eric Bobo has made his feature film scoring debut on the new Netflix documentary LA Originals. The film is directed by Estevan Oriol and explores the culture and landmarks of the chicano and street art movement that cemented the director’s and photographer Estevan Oriol’s status as behind-the-scenes hip hop legends. The movie feature interviews with Snoop Dogg, Kobe Bryant, Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Pharrell, Blink-182, Michelle Rodriguez, Cypress Hill, Wilmer Valderrama, George Lopez, among others. Sebastián Ortega & Brian Maya are producing the project. Oriol & Mister Cartoon also serve as executive producers, alongside Mark Suroff, Marco Valadez and Francisco Pugliese. LA Originals is premiering today exclusively on Netflix.
