Michael Abels (Get Out) is the composer of the upcoming crime drama See You Yesterday. The film is directed by Stefon Bristol and stars Eden-Duncan Smith, Danté Crichlow, Brian ‘Astro’ Bradley, Johnathan Nieves, Marsha S. Blake, Wavvy Jonez, Myra Lucretia Taylor and Ron Bobb. The movie follows two Brooklyn teenage science prodigies who build make-shift time machines to one of their brothers from being wrongfully killed by a police officer. Bristol also co-wrote the screenplay with Fredrica Bailey based on their 2017 short of the same title. Spike Lee (BlacKkKlansman, Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X) is producing the project. See You Yesterday will premiere later this year on Netflix.

Abels has also recently scored Jordan Peele’s Us, which is being released this weekend by Universal Pictures.
