Stanley Clarke (Boyz n the Hood, Passenger 57, The Transporter, The Best Man) is composing the original score for the upcoming documentary Halston. The film is directed by Frédéric Tcheng (Dior and I, Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel) and tells the story of America’s first superstar fashion designer. The movie uncovers the cautionary tale of an artist who sold his name to Wall Street and was responsible for many iconic moments in American fashion and culture in the ’70s and ’80s. Tcheng is also producing the project with Roland Ballester Stephanie Levy and Paul Dallas. Halston will premiere in January at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
