Frederik Wiedmann is scoring the upcoming thriller #211. The film is directed by York Alec Shackleton and stars Nicolas Cage as a police officer, following his efforts to stop a bank robbery. 211 is police code for “robbery in progress.” Amanda Cerny, Sophie Skelton, and Michael Rainey Jr. are co-starring. Jonathan Yunger & Jeffrey Greenstein (Security) are producing the project and Yariv Lerner, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short & Scott Karp are executive producing the Millennium Films and Nu Image production. Wiedmann has previously scored Millennium’s Acts of Vengeance and Day of the Dead: Bloodline. #211 is expected to be released later this year.
The composer’s other recent projects also include Universal 1440 Entertainment’s Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell (coming out on May 1, 2018) and Death Race 4: Beyond Anarchy (to be released later this year).
