In A Circle Records will release a new soundtrack album for the PBS docu-series The Vietnam War. Tthe album features traditional and popular Vietnamese songs, arranged by members of The Silkroad Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma, as well as improvisations inspired by the documentary. Also included is an instrumental rendition of We Shall Overcome performed by multi-instrumentalist Vanessa Van-Anh Vo, and Grammy-winning rising star of Folk, Sarah Jarosz. The soundtrack will be released physically on December 8, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Universal Music has previously released two soundtrack albums for the series including the songs and Trent Reznor’s & Atticus Ross’ score from the show. The Vietnam War is directed by Ken Burns & Lynn Novick and tell the epic story of the Vietnam War featuring testimony from nearly 80 witnesses.
