Dustin O’Halloran has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Puzzle. The film is directed by Marc Turtletaub (producer of Little Miss Sunshine, Loving & Safety Not Guaranteed) and stars Kelly Macdonald, Irrfan Khan, David Denman, Bubba Weiler, Austin Abrams and Liv Hewson. The movie revolves around suburban mother whose world is consumed with caring for the men in her family and whose word begins to open when she discovers she has a gift for assembling puzzles. Annie Baker and Oren Moverman (The Messenger, Love & Mercy) wrote the screenplay based on the 2010 Argentine film Rompecabezas. Peter Saraf (Little Miss Sunshine, Away We Go) is producing the project for Big Beach, alongside Wren Arthur (A Prairie Home Companion) and Guy Stodel. Puzzle is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2018.
O’Halloran’s recent projects also include the fourth season of Amazon’s Transparent, which just premiered this past week, the drama The Current War, which is set for a release on November 24 by the Weinstein Company, as well as God’s Own Country, which will be released in select theaters on October 27 by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
