David Bateman has been hired to score the upcoming documentary Man in Red Bandana. The film is written and directed by Matthew J. Weiss and is narrated by Gwyenth Paltrow. The documentary tells the story of Welles Crowther, a 24-year old equities trader on the 102nd floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center who’s credited with saving at least a dozen lives before the building collapsed. Chad A. Verdi & Joshua Sason (Bleed For This) and Tom DeNucci are producing the project. Lyle Lovett is performing an original song for the movie. Man in Red Bandana is currently in post-production and is set to be released in theaters and and on VOD this September.
Bateman whose other film scoring credits include A Girl Like Her and the thriller The Dark Below, which is currently playing in select theaters, has previously scored DeNucci’s recent features, Arlo: The Burping Pig and the upcoming thriller Anders Manor. The film starring Christina Robinson, Kevin Nash and Michael Bennett will be released this fall by Lionsgate.
