Premiering on Thursday, January 26, is the new CW drama Riverdale based on the characters by Archie Comics and starring Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, Luke Perry, KJ Apa, Marisol Nichols, Mädchen Amick, Ashleigh Murray, Madelaine Petsch and Camila Mendes. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Blindspot). Premiering on Friday, January 27, is the Amazon original series Z: The Beginning of Everything created by Dawn Prestwich & Nicole Yorkin and starring Christina Ricci, Gavin Stenhouse, David Strathairn, Kristine Nielsen, Maya Kazan, Sarah Schenkkan, Jamie Anne Allman and Holly Curran. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, The Affair, Ray Donovan, The Good Shepherd) is composing the show’s original music. Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on Friday. Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix original movie iBoy directed by Adam Randall and starring Bill Milner, Maisie Williams, Miranda Richardson and Rory Kinnear. The film’s original music is composed by Max Aruj and Steffen Thum. Lorne Balfe (Terminator Genisys, The LEGO Batman Movie, The Bible) is producing the composers’ score. iBoy follows an average teenager whose world is turned on its head when a violent encounter with local thugs leaves fragments of his shattered smartphone embedded in his brain. The movie will be available worldwide this Friday on Netflix.
Premiering on Saturday, January 28, is the Lifetime original movie Love by the 10th Date written and directed by Nzingha Stewart and starring Kelly Rowland, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Cat Deeley, Keri Hilson, Kellee Stewart, Brandon T. Jackson and Meagan Good. Laura Karpman (Underground, Black Nativity, Paris Can Wait) and Raphael Saadiq (Insecure, Underground) have composed the film’s original music.
