Opening semi-wide in around 600 theaters is the comedy The Bounce Back directed by Youssef Delara and starring Shemar Moore, Nadine Velazquez, Bill Bellamy, Sheryl Underwood and Kali Hawk. Reza Safinia (Filly Brown, The Trust, Birth of the Dragon) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie follows a relationship guru and best-selling author who finds himself falling for the licensed therapist who questions his methods. The comedy is being released by Viva Pictures. Opening in New York and Los Angeles before expanding nationwide by Christmas Day is the movie musical La La Land written and directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, J. K. Simmons, Finn Wittrock, Rosemarie DeWitt and Meagen Fay. The film’s original score and songs are composed by Justin Hurwitz (Whiplash). Interscope Records has released two soundtrack album featuring the songs and the composer’s score.
