Also opening in limited release is the comedy Don Verdean co-written and directed by Jared Hess and starring Sam Rockwell, Amy Ryan, Jemaine Clement, Leslie Bibb, with Will Forte and Danny McBride. The film’s original score is composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Layer Cake, Stardust, Still Alice). Also opening in select theaters is the drama The Girl in the Book written and directed by Marya Cohn and starring Emily VanCamp, Michael Nyqvist, Ana Mulvoy-Ten, David Call, Ali Ahn and Michael Cristofer. Will Bates (Another Earth, I Origins, Lola Versus) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack album. The Girl in the Book of follows a young book editor who is forced to confront a troubling chapter from her past when a bestselling author re-enters her life. Another limited release this weekend is the thriller Bleeding Heart written and directed by Diane Bell and starring Jessica Biel and Zosia Mamet. No soundtrack album has been announced. Liam Howe has composed the film’s original music. Bleeding Heart follows a yoga instructor who finds herself behaving in ways she’d never imagined herself capable of in an effort to protect her newly discovered biological sister from a dangerous boyfriend. The thriller premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and is being released by Gravitas Ventures.
