Bear McCreary has signed on to score the upcoming horror thriller The Boy. The film is directed by William Brent Bell (The Devil Inside, Stay Alive) and stars Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans. The movie follows a young American woman who takes a job as a nanny in a remote English village, only to discover that the family’s 8-year-old is a life-sized doll that the parents care for just like a real boy, as a way to cope with the death of their actual son 20 years prior. Stacey Menear has written the screenplay. Tom Rosenberg & Gary Lucchesi (Underworld, The Lincoln Lawyer, Crank, The Age of Adaline) are producing the Lakeshore Entertainment production with Richard Wright. The Boy will be released on January 22, 2016 by STX Entertainment. To learn more about the film, visit the official movie website.
