Composer Michael Brook who is coming off his arguably most successful year, having scored the Oscar-winning drama The Fighter has a number of movies coming up this year. Opening this spring is the thriller Wrecked. The film stars Adrien Brody and marks the feature directing debut of Michael Greenspan. In the movie, a man wakes up from a car wreck at the bottom of a cliff, having no memory of who he is or how he got there, leaving him forced to discover his true identity. The film is now available on Video on Demand and opens in theaters on April 1 in New York and April 8 in Los Angeles. Brook has also scored the football documentary Undefeated, which recently premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and has since been picked up by The Weinstein Company for release later this year. The movie follows a volunteer coach at an inner-city school in Memphis as he tries to help the football team win its first playoff game in 110 years and inspire the students in the process. The composer has also scored the documentary Darwin, which has been shown at various film festivals this year. The film about an isolated community at the end of a weathered road in Death Valley, California is directed by Nick Brandestini. Also coming up for Brook is the documentary Eco-Pirate: The Story of Paul Watson. The film directed by Trish Dolman centers on a man on a mission to save the planet and its oceans. No word yet on the movie’s release.
