Noisy Miner will release a soundtrack album for the Australian comedy drama The Rooster. The album features the film’s original music composed by Stefan Gregory (The Dig, Cottontail). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 8 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Rooster is written and directed by Mark Leonard Winter and stars Phoenix Raei, Hugo Weaving, Rhys Mitchell and John Waters. The movie follows an introverted police officer in a small country town who begins to unravel after he fails to follow police protocol when dealing with an incident involving his childhood friend. The dramedy premiered last year’s Melbourne International Film Festival (and also screened at this year’s Santa Barbara Film Festival) and opened in Australian theaters this past February. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
