Richard Reed Parry (of Arcade Fire) is scoring the upcoming sports drama The Iron Claw. The film is directed by Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene, Dead Ringers) and stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Holt McCallany, Maura Tierney and Lily James. The movie tells the true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Durkin is also producing the project with Tessa Ross & Juliette Howell (The Wonder, Life After Life) and Angus Lamont (The Girl with All the Gifts, ’71). Parry has previously scored Durkin’s last feature, The Nest. The Iron Claw is set to be released in theaters on December 22, 2023 by A24.

Reed Parry’s other scoring projects include William Olroyd’s Eileen, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up by Neon for a theatrical release on December 1, 2023.
