Joseph Shirley (The Book of Boba Feet, Creed III, The Mandalorian, Fairfax, Bad Trip) has provided the original score for Disney Branded Television’s new original movie The Slumber Party. The film is directed by Veronica Rodriguez and stars Darby Camp, Emmy Liu-Wang, Valentina Herrera, Dallas Liu, Tituss Burgess, Paula Pell, Caroline Valencia, Alex Cooper Cohen and Ramon Jose Rodriguez. The coming-of-age comedy is based on the YA novel The Sleepover by Jen Malone and depicts the aftermath of a sleepover birthday party hypnotism gone wrong as two best friends, along with their soon-to-be step-sister, wake up with absolutely no memory of the night before. Eydie Faye (The J Team) wrote the script. Brian Grazer & Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) are executive producing the Imagine Kids+Family production with Stephanie Sperber (The Astronauts) & Jennilee Cummings, as well as Jax Media’s Jake Fuller (Animal Control), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris, The Other Two) and John Hodges (Ramy, Fire Island). The Slumber Party will debut this Thursday, July 27 on the Disney Channel before premiering the following day on Disney+.
