Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi action adventure Jurassic World Dominion co-written and directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Star Trek, The Batman). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally today and a CD version will be coming out later this week. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the drama The Walk directed by Daniel Adams and starring Justin Chatwin, Terrence Howard, Katie Douglas, Lovie Simone, Anastasiya Mitrunen, Jeremy Piven and Malcolm McDowell. Robert ToTeras (Sugar Rush, He Who Dares) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The 1974-set drama, which follows a Boston Irish cop who is assigned to protect black high school students as they are bused into all-white South Boston High, is being distributed by Vertical Entertainment.
Also opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the coming-of-age comedy Wyrm written and directed by Christopher Winterbauer and starring Theo Taplitz, Lulu Wilson, Sosie Bacon, Paula Pell, Natasha Rothwell, Azure Brandi, Dan Bakkedahl, Tommy Dewey, Lukas Gage, Rosemarie DeWitt and Jenna Ortega. The film’s original music is composed by David Boman (Moonshot, Please Hold). Endeavor Content has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in a single theater before premiering on Netflix next Friday, June 17, is the sci-fi thriller Spiderhead directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett. Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Shadow and Bone, The Witcher, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, Only the Brave, Lady and the Tramp) has composed the film’s original music.
