Zachary Dawes (Big Time Adolescence, The Peanut Butter Falcon, Generation, There’s Someone Inside Your House) is scoring the new Amazon original series The Summer I Turned Pretty. The show is created by Jenny Han (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) based on her bestselling book of the same title and stars Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Christopher Briney, Rachel Blanchard, Colin Ferguson, Gavin Casalegno, Alfredo Narciso, Sean Kaufman, Minnie Mills and Tom Everett Scott. The coming-of-age drama centers on an ordinary teenage girl who spends the summer in Cousin’s Beach, where she reunites with her childhood friend, only to become tangled up in a love triangle between him and his brother. Han also serves as the project’s showrunner and is executive producing the Amazon Studios and wiip production with Gabrielle Stanton (The Flash, Haven), Karen Rosenfelt (The Twilight Saga, Marley & Me, Dopesick), Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen and Nne Ebong. The Summer I Turned Pretty will premiere next Friday, June 17, 2022 exclusively on Prime Video.
